Once upon a time there was a fair maiden who fell under a wicked spell. Sadly, she could not be saved and quickly succumbed to the deep endless slumber which took her away from the people who loved her.
So moved was anyone who heard the tale of this lovely maiden that many tears were shed, even by those who had never met her. Saddened and frustrated by the tragic loss her family had to endure, the people rallied to try and help how they may.
Inspired by the efforts of the many kind strangers, a humble woman wanted to pass on the spirit of fellowship and generosity shown to the family of the fair maiden, for tragically there were other maidens and gentle men valiantly battling similar foes.
Blessed as she was, the humble woman wanted to help those in her own community so she set herself a quest – to draw attention to (and hopefully raise money for ) The Cancer Support Group ACT Eden Monaro’s Own.
